Steve Ivings, the creative force behind Steve Ivings Entertainment, is a comedian, impressionist, actor, MC, radio announcer, public speaker, recording artist, comedy writer, playwright, author, lyricist, director and producer. Individually or all at the same time.
Steve began his “show biz” career while still in high school, writing and voicing comedy features on radio, performing his stand-up routine around town and acting on local stages. Once he graduated it was time to hit the road, so he did, entertaining throughout Canada and the United States for the next forty years. Steve has performed his comedy act on cruise ships, on a number of popular television shows, at conventions, fairs, festivals, concerts and night clubs including the MGM Grand in Reno and Las Vegas. He’s a popular after-dinner speaker with his comedy routine featuring dozens of celebrity impersonations or his hilarious Laugh Louder, Live Longer motivational speech.
Steve’s comedy album (cleverly titled Steve’s Record) was nominated for a Juno Award in 1980; the album features the novelty song The Twelve Daze of Christmas which still gets airplay every December.
Steve has written dozens of stage variety shows featuring songs, dances and comedy sketches with particular themes like The British Pub Show, Hooray for Hollywood, A Charles Dickens Christmasand Around the World in Eighty Minutes. And he’s still going strong. Working from his office in Victoria B.C., Steve is still creating, producing and performing. The old show biz adage says “The show must go on” and with Steve Ivings at the helm, you can be guaranteed that it will, with hilarious results.
